«My primary medium is installation. My work addresses first and foremost the topics of expectations, beliefs and taste; taste as the materialization of culture. The temporary nature of the paradox that arises when searching for concrete definitions of right and wrong, east and west, old and new is one of my main interest. Through installations, videos and sculptures I takes traditional notions of cultural identity, ancient views, paradoxical beliefs and superstitions and poetically play with them.
I wonder how social media, ancient superstitions and surrounding trashy images influence on everyday life; how emotions, memories, views and personality are created.» (Gvantsa Jishkariani)
