The subscriptions for The Blank Project Proposal Residency, an artist’s residency at its fifth edition, are now open. It’s possible to register until 4th September 2017.
The purpose of the project is to give hospitality to artists and curators for a short/medium period and offer them accommodation and relations aimed to develop artistic researches both practical and theoretical.
The residency is conceived as a meeting and work place where share ideas and experiences.
The artists/curators in residence will be asked to work on a project proposal which will be produced during the Residency.
The residency concludes with an open studio day and the presentation of the project proposal developed during their staying.
A maximum of 2 artists/curators will be selected among the applicants.
Eligibility: The program is open to artists or curators at any stage of their career, working in visual arts, photography, film & video, media arts.
Language: Italian/English/French/Spanish.
Location: The Blank residency, Via Quarenghi 50, Bergamo, Italy.
Disciplines: Visual arts, photography, moving image, sculpture, performance.
Paid by Host: Artist’s fee of 400 €, accommodation (bedroom and fully furnished kitchen), studio space and internet wifi.
Paid by Artist/Curator: Residents are responsible for their travel, working materials, food and personal expenses during the residency.
Duration: From 16th October to 20th November 2017.
The selections will be announced by 11th September 2017.
